FIRST “WORLD DAY OF URBAN VINEYARDS”

On October 27, 2024, the first edition of the World Day of Urban Vineyards was celebrated—an initiative promoted by our Association to honor and raise awareness of the growing trend of urban viticulture and its vital role in creating healthier and more sustainable cities.
To mark the occasion, visual arts contests were held in Venice, Barcelona, Catania, Los Angeles, Bergamo, and Thessaloniki, transforming urban vineyards into vibrant hubs of creativity, with photographers, painters, and illustrators capturing their unique charm.
Elsewhere, urban vineyards welcomed the arrival of autumn on a more intimate scale, fostering local engagement and spreading appreciation for the cultural and historical significance of vineyards in urban environments.
The Association is already preparing for the Second World Day of Urban Vineyards, which will take place in October 2025, with even more exciting initiatives on the horizon.
