U.V.A. Annual Meeting 2025 – A Global Celebration of Urban Viticulture in Catania

From June 13 to 15, U.V.A. members and partners gathered in Catania, Sicily for the 2025 Annual General Meeting and Urban Agriculture Fest, centered on the theme “Urban Agriculture in Sicily: Cultivating Cities to Regenerate the Territory.”

The event featured a dynamic international conference, with speakers from across Europe addressing key topics such as sustainability, urban regeneration, and ESG strategies in viticulture. It was a valuable moment to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and highlight the role of urban vineyards in building greener, more resilient cities.

A highlight of the gathering was the sunset wine tasting and networking reception, where members, media, and industry guests enjoyed wines produced by U.V.A. vineyards from around the world—each reflecting the unique character of its urban landscape.

The meeting also included the opening of the International Art Exhibition inspired by the 2024 World Day of Urban Vineyards, and the distribution of U.V.A. plaques to reinforce the identity and visibility of member vineyards globally.

We thank all participants for making this edition a success and look forward to continuing to grow, together, as a global network rooted in cities and committed to change.
