TheLaguna nel Bicchiere Association (Lagoon in the Glass) was born from the curiosity of Flavio Franceschet, who in 1993 made the discovery of the vegetable garden of San Francesco della Vigna on the island of Sant'Elena and then began to involve the children of the middle school "P.F. Calvi" where he taught in the wine production, making them press with their feet the must in the cloister of Sant'Isepo and release the smell throughout the school. The participation was then extended to other schools and the places of the harvest were diversified over the years: from San Francesco della Vigna to Sant'Elena, from the former Venetian Gas area, to Sant'Erasmo and finally to the Scarpa Volo area in Mazzorbo.

Laguna nel bicchiere-Le vigne ritrovate is a non-profit association that aims to recover the abandoned vineyards of the Venice lagoon, preserve a tradition and protect an original and almost unknown landscape, revealing the hidden city-countryside relationship. The educational aim is to cultivate the knowledge of the territory by perceiving the colours, smells, flavours of the seasons and the land.
