Alessio Tavecchio suffered a serious motorcycle accident at the age of twenty-three that radically changed his life, confining him to a wheelchair. He responded to this new condition through sport, becoming a Paralympic swimming champion and competing at the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics. This experience inspired him to dedicate himself to others as a trainer and motivator, developing road safety education and awareness projects in Italian schools and businesses. In 1998, he founded the Tavecchio ETS Foundation to promote social inclusion and independence for people with disabilities, his most significant project being the Agriparco Solidale “Accolti e Raccolti” in Monza, home to the AUTARI vineyard
