Éric Sureau is president of the Comité des Fêtes et d’Actions Sociales of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, the association responsible for managing the Clos Montmartre, the urban vineyard located in the heart of the district. He oversees all vineyard-related activities: maintenance, pruning, harvesting, winemaking, and distribution of the Cuvée du Clos Montmartre.
The Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre is now one of the major public events in the 18th arrondissement, supported by the city council and various local partners. Under Sureau’s presidency, the vineyard continues to be managed organically, and the proceeds from bottle sales are allocated to social projects benefiting the local community, particularly children and the elderly.
