Alessandro Marzotto is the General Manager of Cà Maiol, the historic estate in Desenzano del Garda that joined the Santa Margherita Wine Group six years ago. Under his leadership, the winery has undergone a comprehensive transformation: sustainable management of 110 hectares of vineyards, with a focus on soil microflora and the elimination of chemical treatments; a fully renovated cellar featuring gravity-flow winemaking to enhance each vineyard’s unique character; and a complete redesign of the packaging, with lighter bottles and a refined, territory-driven identity aimed at a new generation of international wine lovers.
His vision is summed up in the concept of “(R)Evolution”: a holistic approach combining sustainability, innovation, and local heritage to position Cà Maiol as a key player in the Lugana and Valtènesi wine regions.
