Patritti – Warriparinga Vineyard

Tucked along the Sturt River, beside the Warriparinga Wetlands and the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, Warriparinga Vineyard connects viticulture to both nature and culture. Once neglected, it was restored by Patritti in 2019 as part of its commitment to preserving urban vineyards. Today, Warriparinga is home to plantings of Palomino and Pedro Ximenez, traditional fortified varieties now transformed into fresh, contemporary wine styles.

The vineyard produces crisp and lively whites with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, and spice, showcasing a lighter, more modern expression of heritage grapes. It also contributes fruit to the celebrated April Red, a vibrant co-ferment of Marion Grenache and Warriparinga Palomino. Blending history with innovation, Warriparinga demonstrates how forgotten vineyards can be reimagined as sustainable, community-rooted spaces that celebrate Adelaide’s unique viticultural identity.
