Luca Balbiano is a third-generation winemaker from Turin who manages the historic Cantine Balbiano, known for restoring the Royal “Vigna della Regina” vineyard. Bridging agricultural tradition with urban innovation, he founded the Urban Vineyards Association (U.V.A.) to unite historical city vineyards worldwide. He subsequently launched Citiculture, a startup integrating sustainable viticulture into modern urban landscapes for environmental and social regeneration. Currently, he represents his latest initiative, Campus Grapes, an educational vineyard project developed within the Politecnico di Torino to foster agritech research and student training.
